Live in OCCII: ASTMA, Giulio Aldinnuci, Some Truths-woensdag 16 december 2015 - lengte 34:10, 3 fragmenten (3 gecategoriseerd) |
SOTU & Concertzender present, live in OCCII:
ASTMA is Olga Nosova (drummer and vocalist mostly known for her work with Moscow noise-core band Motherfathers) and Russian industrial/electronic scene pioneer Alexei Borisov. The collaborative project was formed in April 2009 in Moscow. Paying homage to both experimental tradition of Alexei’s countless musical reincarnations and Olga’s instrumental noise experience, the duo embrace elements of weird free-form spoken word psychedelia, live electronics, noise, heavy acid, electroacoustic, d’n’b and far too many different types of acoustic torture to even bother mentioning them. The music is highly improvised, so naturally Borisov / Nosova collaborate with various musicians, video-artists and poets from different countries both live and in studio: Anton Nikkila (Finland), Dave Phillips (Switzerland), Matthieu Werchowski (France), Dora Bleu (Canada), Thomas Buckner (USA), Tom Smith (USA), Jandek (USA), Ilya Belorukov (Russia), Sergei Letov (Russia), Nikita Tsymbal (Russia) to name just a few. Borisov/Nosova duo is touring extensively and in 2009-2010 performed in Russia, Turkey, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Poland, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Netherlands, France, Israel, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belorussia etc. (by Lev Kantor (top-40.org)) Alexei Borisov has made music since the underground movement ignited in Russia in the beginning 1980s, and is known as a member of Night Prospekt, F.R.U.I.T.S., Volga, ASTMA and Fake Cats Project among many other projects. Born in Moscow on December 7, 1960, Borisov graduated from the Moscow State University where he had studied History and Arts. His controversial performing career (as a guitarist) began in the Center new-wave group, in 1980. N&B Research (label) List of ASTMA-videos youtube Giulio Aldinnuci (IT) Giulio Aldinucci (born in Siena, 1981) is an Italian composer who works mainly in the field of electroacoustic music. His musical research always focuses on different synthesis techniques and on the use of field recordings. Spazio Sacro (album, bandcamp) GiulioAldinucci.com Some Truths Some Truths aka Bass Clef, is the primary handle for the marauding musical runnings of Ralph Cumbers, the producer, trombone player, DJ and modular synth manipulator whom, whilst calling Hackney, UK his current home, has long since broken through the earthly atmosphere with his itinerant, style-and-pattern approach to electronic music. Recently has been recording and touring as Some Truths, a project that involves only the use of a modular synth. He has been collobarating with Ekoplekz (artist played on SOTU Festival 2013) under the name Ekoclef. Some Truths - This Love Will Make You Levitate (youtube) |
